JOINING IN GOD'S RESTORATION
God has given each and every one of us special gifts that are meant to enrich the lives of others in the church, communities, and the world. We believe that we are the head, heart, and hands of Jesus and that we are called to join in God’s restoration of the world. We have partnered with global & local mission organizations, as well as individual missionaries that allow us to serve and share the love of Christ. We would like to invite you to partner with us and make a lasting impact in our community and in our world.
WHAT WE DO TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY
Serve Chico takes place twice a year (Spring & Fall), where children of God from BPC (but also open to anyone) signup and gather at various work sites to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Serve projects range anywhere from singing and fellowshipping with the elderly or doing landscaping and painting for our mission partners throughout the city. On the first Sunday of every other month, children of God from BPC (but also open to anyone) signup to serve breakfast at the Jesus Center. Roles range from food prep, cooking, serving, or even singing. We invite you to be part of this team making a difference in the lives of the unhoused.
Serve Chico State takes place in the Fall when college students are moving into their dorms. BPC partners with Chico State in assisting students moving in to find their dorms, even assisting them move-in, and we prepare a welcome team on the BPC patio with food!
Looking for a place to serve and make a difference in a child's life? We invite you to join the Citrus Team, serving as much or as little as you like! There are one-time events along with the regular weekly teams, including Reading Pals, Math Pals, and Science Investigations. If you love children, you will love this ministry.
Hope Village brings housing to those who have currently been living in shelters. Organizations have teamed up to support those who are seeking to rebuild their lives. We have adopted a newly housed resident in Hope Village, and we are always in need of volunteers.
