Opportunities for Youth to Volunteer
Are you ready to take on a bigger role at BPC? Whether you have special skills you’d like to put to use, need volunteer hours for college credit, want to work toward a BPC scholarship, or just want a chance to serve others, we want to help you get connected! Negotiable time at a home in Chico. Alana Skytte needs help with basic landscaping — raking, shoveling, etc. — since she just had two trees removed. Call Alana at 530-513-4156.

Wednesday Night Dinners
Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. BPC Fellowship Hall Help turn the Fellowship Hall into a welcoming dining venue by setting tables, putting out water pitchers, and assisting with other set-up needs. Sunday Morning Coffee
Sundays, 7:30 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. (volunteers may select shifts within this timeframe) BPC Fellowship Hall (cool weather) or Patio (warm weather) Wake up and smell the coffee! Help generate our welcoming Sunday mornings atmosphere by putting out pots of coffee, restocking tables with cups and creamer, and making sure we don’t run dry. Sunday Morning Ushering
Sundays, 10:15 a.m. –11:15 a.m. 131 W. 1st St. Be the welcoming face of 131 by greeting people as they enter and passing out bulletins. Office Administrative Assistance
During office hours (Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.) BPC Office (101 Salem St. Suite 200, above Celestino’s Pizza) Cut postcards, fold bulletins, or stuff envelopes to help our office communicate about great events and happenings. Home Maintenance Ministry
Selected Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 1 or 2 p.m. (October – May) Various Locations in Chico Mow lawns, rake leaves, and perform other home and yard maintenance to serve those physically unable to care for their homes. You’ll receive 2-3 specific projects per work day and work under the direction of someone experienced in home maintenance. This is a great learning opportunity! Custodial Arts Assistance
Varying times 208 & 131 W. 1st St. Set up chairs and tables for Refuge and Underground (Wednesdays, 3 p.m. -5 p.m.) or put these items away after the evening ends (Wednesdays, 9 p.m. -10 p.m.). Set-up and tear-down needs also arise for other events, so check in with our ministers of custodial arts. Contact Person: Robert Engstrom (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Thursdays, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. & Sundays 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (both required) 131 W. 1st St. Training Required Join the techies who make the audio-visual elements of BPC worship services possible. After training on our equipment and programs, project the lyrics, videos, and other images used during musical worship and other elements of the service.
