Special Events

Experiencing God – August 19, September 23

Many of our high school students who went on the Texas service trip expressed a desire to know God better. For these teens, and other teens who would like to join, we’re offering a three-month journey through Henry Blackaby’s book, Experiencing God. One Sunday a month, we’ll meet at 12:30 for time to discuss what we’ve read from this inspiring devotional over the past month. On August 19th, our location will be 1250 Hobart St.

Musical Worship & Pool Party – August 22

On Wednesday, August 22, join us from 5-8 p.m. for a fun night combining two of our favorite activities — swimming and singing! Meet us at 3515 Keefer Rd. for a night that includes dinner, a pool party, and musical worship led by some of our high school friends. We hope to see you there!

Work Scholarship – August 26

Join us from 12-2 in the Student Center after church to get cleaned up and organized for the new school year. This will count as two hours ($20) toward a work scholarship.

Midweek Kickoff – August 29

We’re gearing up for our Fall Kickoff for both Underground and Refuge Midweek! Starting August 29th, we will have Underground from 6:30-8:00 p.m. (Student Center) and Refuge from 7:00-8:30 p.m. (131 W. 1st St.). The kickoff will feature dinner for both groups and extra fun activities. Mark your calendars so you don’t miss this great chance to catch up with old friends and meet new friends!

Refuge Fall Retreat – September 14-16

Retreat (n): a place of privacy or safety : refuge

BPC Youth Ministry invites high school teens to join us at North Shore Campground at Lake    Almanor for a chance to refresh and renew, away from daily concerns and routines. BPC’s 150th Birthday – August & September

We’re celebrating a significant birthday! Bidwell Presbyterian Church turns 150 this year! We encourage youth and their families to join in the churchwide festivities that celebrate all God has done over the past fifteen decades (click the image to see all the details). Also, sesquicentennial is a fun and fancy way to say “150th celebration.” You don’t get to use that word often, so enjoy it while you can!
