We Love We Play We Serve We Learn

Who we are…

BPC’s Youth Ministries strive to come alongside parents within the community of BPC as they raise their teens in the ways of the Lord, for the sake of the youth in Chico, CA. Because parents are the primary influencers of their children’s faith as they grow and mature into adult followers of Jesus Christ (even in the teenage years), our team desire to partner with parents as they continue to raise and disciple their teens.

Upcoming Events

November 22, 2017 — Thanksgiving Eve: You’re familiar with Christmas Eve, but this year BPC is bringing something new to the calendar: a Thanksgiving Eve celebration! This special service will take place in the Sanctuary at 6:30 p.m., just after a delicious dinner shared by our church family (5:30 p.m.). Join us for this festive opportunity to give thanks!

November 23, 2017 — Run for Food: The countdown to Thanksgiving is on! This year, we encourage you to join Run for Food, an annual fundraiser to benefit the Jesus Center as they prepare to care for the needy in our community during the winter. We’ll be there, so you should come too! Grab a couple of your Refuge friends and walk, run, or volunteer! Find out more at  www.runforfood.com.
December 10 & 17, 2017 — Alternative Gift Fair (AGF): Alternative Gift Fair is back! This unique annual tradition allows you to give a meaningful, intangible gift to your loved ones while also blessing others in need. Your gifts to a variety of causes multiply beyond imagination to bring hope and healing to people who desperately need a helping hand. Stop in the Fellowship Hall after your chosen service on December 3rd and 10th to see for yourself how this Christmas can truly be about giving more than getting.
January 19, 2018 — Spring Break Service Trip Fundraiser: This spring, our high school students will head to Texas to help with hurricane disaster relief. In preparation, we’ll be selling to-go tri-tip dinners! High schoolers will sell tickets in advance, then help on the day of the event to prepare the food, run orders out to cars, and clean up. All proceeds will benefit the spring break mission trip team.
Each boxed meal feeds up to four and includes tri-tip, beans, salad, and cookies, freshly prepared. The menu has been selected to stay delicious in the fridge for up to three days, so don’t worry if you can’t eat it all! Meals must be ordered by midnight on Monday, January 15th, 2018. Pick up your meal on Friday, January 19th, in the BPC parking lot between 5-6:30 p.m. Alternatively, if you live in Chico, you may order your meal to be delivered to your home for a flat fee of $5. Click here to purchase a meal! You can also place orders at the Welcome Center on Sundays or get an order form from our high school students. Note: $40 covers a $12 meal cost, and a $28 tax-deductible donation.   March 17-24 — Spring Break Service Trip: Every year, Refuge kids decide to spend their spring vacation serving others. Sometimes we go to Mexico, sometimes we go to a U.S. city to serve those who need to see Jesus through our actions. This year, we’re headed to Texas to help clean up in the wake of devastating hurricanes. We will not be doing any mold abatement or mold-related work. More details coming soon!
