Operation Spring Breakout – March 18-21
Every year during spring break, BPC high schoolers travel somewhere to share the love of Christ in tangible ways. We’ve visited Mexican orphanages, worked with the homeless in San Francisco, served Native Americans on the Navajo and Yakima Reservations, and helped with hurricane cleanup efforts in Texas.
This year, with a life-changing natural disaster in our community, we’ve decided to focus our efforts closer to home. In response to the Camp Fire, our BPC high school kids have decided to host a day camp for 1st-5th graders during the week of spring break. We want to provide a fun experience for kids directly and indirectly affected by the fire.
If you would like to participate in creating this adventure for kids, please complete the application below and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org or turn it in at the church office.
Underground Snow Day – February 2, 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Jesus walked on liquid water, so as training to follow in his footsteps we’re going to walk on solid water. 😉
Join us for a day of snowshoeing, sledding, and winter fun! Cost includes transportation, snowshoe rental, sleds for the day, and lunch. Sign up online and bring a friend!
Meet us in the BPC Parking lot for drop off and pick up. Cost: $30
Refuge Winter Retreat – February 8-10
Last February, Refuge spent a fantastic weekend at La Porte Union Hotel near Lassen National Forest. In the wake of all the chaos and trauma of the Camp Fire, we think getting away and spending quality time with God and our friends is all the more important. Join us in this elegant, historic building (which we get all to ourselves!) for a time to renew and refresh. Depart: 3:30 p.m. Friday February 8 (Meet at BPC at 3:00 p.m.), return: ARound 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10. We’ll provide transportation, Friday’s dinner through brunch on Sunday, and two nights at this unique, exclusive hotel. Cost: $150.

Service Opportunities for Youth
Whether earning a work scholarship or simply volunteering, we can connect youth with a variety of service opportunities.
Work Scholarship Application
We never want money to be a reason a kid can’t go to an event or retreat. Register for an event using the “scholarship” option, then apply for a work scholarship using the form below. Please be sure to indicate the amount requested, up to 75%. Email completed forms to email@example.com.
We want kids to be safe! Every participant in any event must have a BPC medical information/liability release form on file.
If you’re a senior, junior, or second-semester sophomore who would like to take a role in shaping youth ministry at BPC, we invite you to apply for our Service And Leadership Team (SALT).
