Junior high and high school teens have excitement, enthusiasm, and faith that are vital to our church. In Youth Ministry, we love, we play, we serve, and we learn together as we pursue relationship with Christ.

Refuge Grad Night – May 21

Here’s to the high school class of 2019! We’re celebrating this significant milestone by inviting people from all walks of life at Bidwell to share encouragement and insight with our graduating high school seniors. Find us at 131 W. 1st St. from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 for this special time of acknowledgment. 

High School Seniors Nerf-er-Nighter – May 31-June 1

6:00 p.m. Friday – 7:00 a.m. Saturday

Hey Seniors! Pretty soon you’ll be walking across the stage into the next phase of life. So to celebrate, we’ve got a fun overnight planned! The agenda includes dinner, movies, snacks, and games, but stars a big nerf war! Come celebrate! 
Cost: $5

6th Grade Summer Fun – June 9-12

We’re looking forward to welcoming the newest class of 6th graders to junior high! June 10 is Game Day in the BPC Fellowship Hall from 11-2. June 11 is Park Day at One Mile from 11-2. And June 12 kicks off Underground Underwater, our summer program with a pool party, dinner, and devotional from 6-9 p.m. We can’t wait to see you!

Refuge Summer Nights – June 11, 18, 25, July 2, 16, 23, 30

On Tuesday nights this summer, chill (literally) in the cool of the pool with your friends from Refuge! We’ll have dinner, hang out and relax, and also spend some time talking about the spiritual matters that are most important to us. Bring a Bible, a towel, a friend, and an appetite!

Pool parties are our favorite way to beat the heat!
This summer, plunge into the pool and dive into a devotional with your friends at Underground Underwater! We’ll swim, eat dinner, and talk about the things that matter most. No cost, no registration!

Sunsplash Waterpark – June 21

Register by June 12
After volunteering at VBX, we’re getting out of town! Bring your lunch so we can get on the road for a trip to Sunsplash Waterpark in
Roseville! This year, we’re booking the “twi-night” swim, so get ready for a slight twist on your favorite water park experience! Departure: 12:30 p.m., return around 11:00 p.m. Bring your lunch so we can get right on the road; dinner at the park is included. Remember to bring your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen! Cost: $40

Junior High Art Camp – June 24-28

Lauren Mesa has specialized in teaching mixed media to young artists for 20 years. Projects incorporate painting with watercolor and acrylic on a variety of surfaces, including terracotta and bark! Kids learn to experiment with ink, texture, and wood. Classes include game time, snacks, and all the ingredients to make new friends! This is a special session just for our junior highers. The $95.00 registration fee includes all materials and a $5 nonrefundable deposit. Class will be held in Room 015, just off the Fellowship Hall.

Senior High Zephyr Point Summer Basecamp – July 7-12

(Register by May 20th)

Join your friends from Refuge at Zephyr Point Senior High Basecamp this summer! Gain deeper insight about who Jesus is and who he has made you, all while enjoying the beauty of his creation on the edge of Lake Tahoe. If you like Jesus and adventures, this is the camp for you! Expect whitewater rafting, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, paddleboarding, swimming, and quality time studying God’s word and learning with friends. Meet at BPC at 1:00 on Sunday, July 8, return in the afternoon July 12.

Cost: $400 (scholarships available — please complete the application at the bottom of this webpage)

Junior High Rock-N-Water Summer Camp – July 23-26

(Register by July 1st)

Join us for a three-day adventure of experiencing the beauty and strength of God’s creation through white-water rafting, hiking, campfires, climbing, and more! Expect quality time with friends, meaningful conversations about faith in Jesus, and loads of fun! We’ll leave BPC at 3:30 p.m. on July 23 and return around 9:30 p.m. on the 26th.

Cost: $350 (scholarships available — please complete the application at the bottom of this webpage)

Whether earning a work scholarship or simply volunteering, we can connect youth with a variety of service opportunities.

Work Scholarship Application

We never want money to be a reason a kid can’t go to an event or retreat. Register for an event using the “scholarship” option, then apply for a work scholarship using the form below. Please be sure to indicate the amount requested, up to 75%. Email completed forms to

We want kids to be safe! Every participant in any event must have a BPC medical information/liability release form on file.
