Youth Ministries

We Love We Play We Serve We Learn

Why we are here…

Junior high and high school teens have excitement, enthusiasm, and faith that are vital to our church. In Youth Ministry, we love, we play, we serve, and we learn together as we pursue relationship with Christ.

Youth Drop-In – Weekly on Wednesdays, starting October 17

It’s the end of the school day, and you’re forced to make a choice: go home and do homework, or spend time with friends. But now, on Wednesdays, you don’t have to make that choice! Starting October 17, come to the Student Center after school on Wednesdays to get the best of both worlds! We’ll have snacks, board games, video games, and quiet rooms for studying. Dinner will be provided. Come right after school, or whenever you can, and stay through youth group.

Service And Leadership Team Applications

Are you a senior, junior, or second-semester sophomore interested in shaping our youth ministry? Apply to join SALT, our Service And Leadership Team. Special Events

Chico Escape Rooms – October 27 (4:30 p.m. to midnight)

If you like a good mystery, you’ll love joining us at the Chico Escape Rooms after Trick or Trunk! Trick or Trunk is a fun, annual opportunity for our junior high and high school kids to serve the young children. We decorate a vehicle trunk (and sometimes the whole vehicle!) and come up with a fun game for little kids to play, then host this game and pass out candy. Join us in the BPC parking lot (or in the Student Center if it is raining) at 4:30 to help set up. The time you spend at Trick or Trunk can count toward a work scholarship if you would like. At 7:30, we will start packing Trick or Trunk up, eat dinner at the Student Center, then head over to the Chico Escape Rooms, where we will split into teams of ten and get “locked” into rooms filled with clues for solving a mystery. It’s a race against the clock to solve the mystery with your team before time runs out! Parents can pick up kids from the BPC Student Center at midnight — assuming they all escape the rooms! Cost: $25

Refuge Overnight – November 11-12 (6:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.)

We don’t recommend having a heart attack, but we DO recommend joining us for an all-night extravaganza, featuring your favorite snacks and games and starring heart-stopping fun at Heart Attack Go-Kart Racing! Take advantage of the school holiday to meet us at the BPC Student Center at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11. We’ll head to Heart Attack together, race around, then return to the Student Center for food and all-night games. Parents can pick up kids at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Bring a sleeping bag and pillow, close-toed shoes, and a friend! Cost: $30

Note: For kids who have not been to Heart Attack before, parents will need to fill out the online registration form on Heart Attack’s website.
