WINTER CAMP! Mark your calendars for February 17-19. We'll be going to Sierra Pines in Lake Tahoe. Early Bird deadline is February 1; get your registration in before then to save $20.

WEEKLY
Underground
- The Underground main program is Wednesdays nights. We meet from 7:00-8:30pm, in the new Student Center.
- We will focus this year on three areas of discovery in Junior High youth ministry: God's joy, His grace and His kingdom.
- Wednesday nights will be a fun, safe and encouraging place for Junior High students in Chico. We'll gather to play, learn and grow. With an emphasis on community and fun, The Underground on Wednesday nights is geared toward getting students together to break down walls, play games, sing songs and discover God's character through His narrative found in the bible.
- Wednesday nights will be an entry point for students interested in growing deeper in their personal walk with Jesus Christ.
Underground: Explore
- Sunday morning program will continue as Underground: Explore. Students will be encouraged to explore more deeply their place in God's grand narrative by reading and discussing the stories found in the Old and New Testaments. Learning how to immerse ourselves in God's word will help us to explore the landscape of God's heart.
- The teaching method we're using this year is called "Storying". Founded in the ancient Hebrew approach to the scriptures, Storying is a unique learning process, revolving around energetic storytelling, imaginative observation and lively dialogue (www.echothestory.com).
- There will be two start times:
- 10:30 am. Meet at the El Rey and join in for worship and announcements. Then we'll walk together to Room 012 in the church basement. At 11:50 we'll head back to the El Rey.
- 11:11 am. Meet in Room 012 at church (the room down the hall from the bathrooms outside Fellowship Hall). This group will join the 10:30 group, and head to the patio at 12:20.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR
Confirmation 2012
Confirmation is open to all current 8th through 12th grade students. We will utilize mentoring, small groups, teahing, discussion and more to efectively explore our faith together.
A mandatory student and parent meeting March 6, 6pm in the Student Center. Meetings: April 1, 15, 17, 22 and 29. Overnight Retreat: May 4-5. Confirmation Sunday: May 6.
