Missions
God continually challenges the Bidwell congregation to consider the question, “Who are we here for?" and the congregation’s answer to that question is always clear. We are here for:
- Those outside our walls
- Those who do not yet know God’s love
- Those who are hurting
- Those who are experiencing hard times
- Those who are lost
We’re here for others we have yet to know and love. As a church, we have taken many steps of faith over the past several years, which demonstrate our commitment to those who are not yet part of our church family. We know God calls us to something greater than ourselves.
Reaching Out
God is reaching out with grace to all people. We are joining our Lord in this mission of righteousness and peace, demonstrating the good news of God’s unending mercy and love for a hurting world. We are Christ’s hands and feet—indeed, his ambassadors—in our everyday lives. Ultimately, our church does not exist for itself, but for those around us.
Specific Ways to Reach Out
- Invite your friends to Sunday gatherings.
- Participate on a short-term mission trip
- Use your spiritual gifts at home, at school, in the marketplace - everywhere you find yourself
- Give of your time and money to have an impact on the world, both locally and globally, for the sake of the Kingdom of God
- Pray often for our pastors, elders, missionaries, those they impact, and our mission teams. Your prayer support will be a great source of encouragement to all.
