Cents-Ability-What is it?
Sponsored by Presbyterian Women, it is a strategy for raising hunger awareness through Two Cents A Meal fundraising; Pennies for Hunger; Nickels for Huner, and Penny Power. It is a small first step in the battle agains hunger and poverty. Everyone is invited to contribute a few cents at every meal. An smiple act expressing thanksgiving for what we have received; a commitment to share with others in response to Jesus' command "You give them something to eat." Cents-Ability originated in 1976 as "Two-Cents-A-Meal," a project begun by Presbyterian Women to involve individuals and families in a corporate response to world hunger. How can you help? Collect your change and see how fast it adds up! Contact Sue Lee at 892-1748.
