Small Group F.A.Q.s
What is a small group?
A small group is a group of people from 3-12 (typically 6-8) who meet together weekly. We believe that meeting together as a group is the best way to grow continually in your journey with Christ. Groups share life together through study of the Bible, prayer, real conversation about life issues, and serving together. Usually our groups are either men or women, but we have certain groups for specific topics that involve men and women together.
Why should I be in a small group?
God created us for community. We all need a place where we can know others and be known. A small group is that place. The best way for you to grow and stay on track with who God is calling you to be is by making a commitment to invest in the people in your group.
Who leads these groups?
Most of our groups are led caring and fun adults (we call them Associates) who share a passion for helping college students follow Christ. Some of our student leaders are also involved in leading groups. Often a highlight of your group experience will be getting to know your Associate.
When do these groups meet?
Most groups will meet on Tuesday nights between 7 and 9pm. We have several other groups offered different nights of the week also. Ask about these other groups if Tuesdays doesn't work for you.
If I’m in a small group how will I meet other people?
This year we want to encourage our groups to be a part of something bigger. On the first Tuesdays of each month at 7pm, in the downstairs fellowship hall of BPC, we will gather as a big group of all small groups. We will make it a fun and interactive time and share some teaching on how we can grow in our life together. You can always meet new people every week at the Five Forty Five.
How can I join a group?

Contact Bonnie Johnston at bjohnston@bidwellpres.org and let her know you want to join a group. She will schedule a time to meet with you to talk about which group would be right for you.
