Fall Schedule
Big Issue Discussion Group– Wednesdays 7pm
Come join us for a time of honest, open discussion about some of the biggest issues facing Christians today. We will talk about things like suffering, how faith plays into politics, the environment, the future, and anything else we can think of in a supportive and friendly environment. Our goal is to approach some of the most controversial topics in modern Christianity, and at the same time encourage differences in opinions and viewpoints without getting personal. We will draw from scripture, reasonable arguments, and published material in our discussion. Andrew Lavin will be facilitating and organizing the group. Run For Food
Please join us for the 3rd annual Run for Food! This 5k run/walk will begin and end at the One Mile Recreation area of beautiful Bidwell Park on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2008 at 9 a.m. Since its inception, the event has continued to grow attracting nearly 2,000 participants in 2007 and raising over $60,000 for the homeless and poor of the community. This incredible sum helped to support the Sabbath House Shelter for women and children, and provide for the almost 100,000 meals the Jesus Center will serve the less fortunate this year. The Door Christmas Party - December 2nd
This party will be at 7 p.m. at the home of The Schibsted’s (630 Stilson Canyon). This will be our final gathering of the semester. We'll have some great food and a white elephant gift exchange of epic proportions. Bring a wrapped gift ($5 maximum).
