Upper Kidwell Park (4th-6th Grades)
Kidwell Park welcomes older elementary students to Upper Kidwell Park! A program for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders that is more on their level. Kids are greeted into Activity Stations, where they play games and connect with friends and leaders. They then move into Large Group. There, kids will have an awesome time playing a large group or up front game. They will then hear a message presented by one of our excited large group “teachers.” This will include a scriptural base and real-life application. Kids finish in Small Group, where they will divide into boys and girls and further break down the day’s lesson, summarizing the key points and giving practical ways that they can apply it.
Curriculum
We are proud to teach using curriculum from Orange. (http://www.whatisorange.org/) The different levels of this curriculum are used throughout Kidwell Park, allowing all of our children to be taught in a comprehensive and constructed sequence. In addition, all grades have a Parent Piece to their program. In Upper Kidwell Park, this is called our “Parent Cue-” a handout that is sent home with kids that provides parents with questions for a follow-up conversation. Events
We want to connect with kids more often than just Sunday mornings! Throughout the year, Upper Kidwell Park provides opportunities and events for kids to have fun and learn more about their faith together.
-Wednesday Nights
Every WOW Wednesday, we provide childcare from 6:30-8:00 pm for 4th-6th graders. Here, kids play games, do crafts, and dig deeper into Sunday’s message.
- 6th grade service event
6th graders get the special chance to live out their faith by serving locally on Sunday morning. More information on this is coming!
Game Night- January 27
Join us at the church for a night of board games, large group games, and perhaps even some video games! Snacks and treats will be provided. 6:30-8:00 pm.
5th & 6th Grader Lock-In- February 17
A special sleepover for our 5th and 6th graders. It will be a night full of excitement!
