Lower Kidwell Park (1st - 3rd grades)

Welcome to Lower Kidwell park! We hope you will join us on sunday to see for yourself what we are all about.
Lower Kidwell Park is a place for 1st - 3rd graders. We are excited to share these 3 basic truths with kids each week:
- I need to make the wise choice (Jesus grew in wisdom)
- I can trust God no matter what (Jesus grew in faith)
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated (Jesus grew in favor with God and man)
On top of this, we explore a new "virtue" each month which reflects God's/Jesus' character or is an appropriate response from us toward God (some of the virtues we have looked at include Perseverance, Grace, Creativity, Generosity, Self Control).

Each month, parents receive a "Parent Cue" email discussing the Bible stories, monthly virtue, memory verse and weekly questions and conversation starters to review with their kids. Be sure to join our email list if you would like to receive this support piece. Kids also take home a printed version of the questions each week.
During a typical sunday morning, kids rotate through 3 rooms of Lower Kidwell Park. In the first space, they engage in crafts and group play to reinforce the monthly theme and connect relationally with each other and leaders. After this, we travel to an exciting thematically decorated area for worship (which is always loud and fun) and a bible story and application lession. Finally, each grade breaks into a small group to discuss the story and practice real application of the lesson to their lives.
