The Chico Triad

The mission of the Chico Triad on philosophy, theology, and science is to explore the intersection of these three disciplines in the academy and to present its research to the public and to the church

The Chico Triad was formed in 2005 by a grant from the Metanexus Institute. It is comprised of members drawn from the campuses of CSUC, Butte College, as well as from related scientific and religious occupations spanning physics, chemistry, kinesiology, theology, religious studies, psychology, and biology. The Chico Triad's chair is Greg Cootsona. Greg is the associate pastor of college and discipleship ministries at Bidwell Presbyterian. Greg holds a Ph.D. in philosophy and theology (specializing in science and theology) from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkley. He has written Creation and Last Things: At the Intersection of Theology and Science.
