W.O.W. Classes

WOW

WHAT IS W.O.W.?
W.O.W. Stands for “What’s on Wednesdays.” It is an opportunity to grow deeper in your faith together with others at Bidwell Presbyterian Church, to stretch and learn something new about God, your faith, and Christianity. We have a dedicated and well educated team of teachers and volunteers who love to share their knowledge and wisdom with you! We offer 5 terms of classes a year, beginning every fall semester.  Our goal is to offer a variety of classes for all levels of interest. Take a look at the different learning opportunities we offer including classes on biblical scripture, theology, practical Christian living, spiritual disciplines, and basic Christianity. DINNERS
W.O.W. begins with dinner at 5:30 p.m. in our downstairs fellowship hall. Cost is $5 per adult; $3 for Jr. High, High School, and college students; $2 for children under 10 years of age; or $15 for a family. We have a skilled and talented staff who loves to cook for our church family. Our dinners feature a full and delicious salad bar, a main course, side dishes, dessert, and kid-friendly options.

CLASS TIMES
W.O.W. classes typically begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:45 p.m. Some may start slightly earlier, depending on the course. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your class so you have time to locate your classroom and drop off any children at childcare.

FOR KIDS
During W.O.W classes, free childcare is offered for infants through 6th grade. Our Nursery workers all have CPR training. We complete a nation-wide background check on all of our volunteers and paid childcare staff. Do you have kids in Jr. High or High School? See what youth programs are offered on Wednesdays for them HERE .

REGISTRATION AND CLASS MATERIALS
We use a combination of books, workbooks, handouts, and video as part of the learning experience at W.O.W. Material fees apply for some classes. If you register and pay the stated materials fees within the registration deadlines, your materials will be available for you to pick up the first night of class.

Materials not picked up on the first night of class will be available in the church office the following week.

If you are a late registrant for a class that has a required book, you will need to purchase your own copy through a local bookstore or online distributor. We do not order extra copies of books.

Some classes have required workbooks that we assemble here at Bidwell. You won’t be able to acquire these on your own, so be sure to register within the deadline so we have ample time to assemble your materials before the first night of class.

Any questions you have about class materials can be directed to jbrossoit@bidwellpres.org

HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES

During registration periods, class catalogues are available in our church office during the week and on our patio at the information table on Sundays.

Class catalogues are now available for Terms 3, 4, and 5.

When registering, please remember to submit payment if applicable for your class. Checks can be made out to “BPC”.

You can either mail or drop off your payment and registration at our church office (208 W. 1st Street, 95928), or bring it by the W.O.W. registration table out on the patio on designated Sundays.
