Growing Out

Growing Out

As we Grow Deep in relationship with God and Grow Up together through meaningful relationships, we want to Grow Out in service.  This means getting out into our community and world.  It also means developing an awareness of ourselves as being ambassadors for Christ wherever we are -- in the places we live, work, play and volunteer.

Over the past few years, there has been increased involvement through participation and financial support for our global and local mission partners such as:  The Jesus Center, Agros, Haiti, Swaziland and Albania.

Our Alternative Gift Fair raised a record $18,000 in 2007; these funds went to both local and global mission projects and partners, providing much-needed food, supplies and funding for projects.

We have also had a tremendous response to our local mission initiatives.  In our Adopt-a-School program, our congregation has adopted Citrus School.  Our support of the school includes help being room parents, reading to kids, providing supplies and funding special projects.  Our church also played a lead role in establishing the Sunday morning breakfast program at the Jesus Center, providing volunteer help and funds for the breakfast, which now feeds an average of 100 homeless people each Sunday morning.

Through the Next Chapter, we want to emphasize making a significant difference in the community where God has placed us.  We see our church as a welcoming place where we love people in our community.  Our facility is an outpost for local ministry.
