• Bill Harrington - Youth

    Bill Harrington has been attending BPC for over 15 years.  He has been active in children’s and youth ministry in a variety of positions over the years, from going on missions to Mexico with high school students, to hanging out with older elementary kids in Zone 56, to teaching Sunday school to preschoolers.  Bill is a new principal this year at Poplar Ave. Elementary School in Thermalito.  He and his wife, Christi, live in Chico with their 15 year old son, Christian (and his driving permit).  Class of 2019

  • Bryn Henderson - College & Young Adults

    Bryn Henderson grew up in Iowa and moved with his wife, Kayla to her hometown of Chico in July, 2012. Bryn works as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones and enjoys fly fishing, snowboarding and spending time with family. Bryn and Kayla recently welcomed a daughter, Caroline. Class of 2018.


  • Dan Herbert - Finance

    Dan and his wife, Kathy, married in 1979. They have three children, who are now married, and two grandsons.  Dan’s background is in banking, property management, and he served on the Chico City Council for 8 years including a term as mayor.  He is currently employed at Chico State as the Director of Off Campus Student Services. He looks forward to working alongside the pastoral staff and the other Elders as we seek to determine where God is moving. Class of 2018.


  • Rich Young - Stewardship

    Rich has had the great joy of living life through BPC for almost 30 years.  He and his wife, Liz, have been married for 46 years. They have three adult children and eight grandchildren, all living in the area. Rich is now retired after spending many years in retail management and non-profit. He believes the church has been a gift and he looks forward to serving as an Elder. Class of 2017.


  • Chris Brown - Missions

    Chris started attending BPC in 1997.  She and her husband, Dave, have two sons, Sean and Luke, who are both now in college.  She does environmental consulting and teaches geology and environmental science at Chico State.Class of 2017.

  • Sarah DeForest - Community Life

    Sarah started attending BPC in 1995 when she moved to Chico for college, and joined the church in 2000. She left Chico a couple of times, but the church is one of the main factors that kept drawing her back to this wonderful town. She is the Advancement Director for the Chico State College of Agriculture where she works with alumni, donors, and the agriculture community to advance the mission of the College of Agriculture. Class of 2016.  Email Sarah

  • Tom Hughes - Personnel

    Tom and his wife, Kristy, first became involved with BPC as college students in 1986.  Upon getting married, they decided that they didn’t want to leave Chico and have been here ever since. They have three adult children.  Tom is an insurance broker with a local firm and has served as an elder, Sunday School teacher, Capital Campaign Committee member, and Safety Team member. Class of 2017.  Email Tom

  • Scott Jones - Nominating

    Scott has been a member of BPC for 12 years along with his wife Janeé, and two children, Cole and Chase. Scott has been an active member serving with both men’s and youth activities, as well as being a small group leader. He is looking forward to expanding opportunities to serve the community and BPC. Class of 2017.  Email Scott

  • Lynne Koch - Connecting and Equipping

    Lynne has attended BPC for the last 10 years. She calls Bidwell ‘home’. She ushers the 9:45 service. She has served as the Community Life Elder and is the current Connecting and Equipping Elder.  She also serves on the Nominating Committee. Lynne has 2 daughters, Keely Saner (Steve) and Courtney Johnson (Andy) along with 6 grandchildren, Brady, Aiden, Londen, Georgia, Graham, and Juliette.   • Linda Land-Smith - Congregational Care

    Linda retired after 23 years, from CSU, Chico as a Professor of Nursing.  She is married to Prescott (Puck) Smith and they have three sons.  Linda has served as a Deacon and Deacon Moderator.  She is the Parish Nurse, and served on an Associate Pastor Nominating Committee.   • Kelli Voss - Children's Ministry

    Kelli and her husband, Jim, have 4 sons.  As a family, they love sports and are avid Giants fans! Kelli teaches 5th grade at Shasta Elementary. She has been involved in volunteer ministry, both with children and adults, since she was a teen. She has served on CMST for the last few years, and is excited with the vision and direction Kidwell Park is moving toward. Class of 2018.  Email Kelli

  • Dawn Clifford - Adult Discipleship

    Dawn has been attending BPC for almost 10 years. She has served with Kidwell Park and College Ministry, as well as taught Wednesday Night Classes. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at Chico State. She enjoys watching her son play sports and playing board games together with her family. She looks forward to helping others find ways to grow deep in their faith while growing together in community.  Class of 2019
