FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS BEEN SICK? All toys for the nursery are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly after use each week. Please help us keep our rooms healthy by observing our “Sick Children Policy” and keeping your children home if they exhibit any of the following: fever within the previous 24 hours, vomiting or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours, discharge in or around the eyes, green or yellow runny nose, sore throat, questionable rash, any symptoms of communicable disease, persistent cough, or head lice. If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he or she should receive treatment at least a full 48 hours before coming to Kidwell Park. If your child becomes ill while in our care, you will be notified promptly.

HOW DO I SAY GOODBYE? After your child is checked in, please say a quick good bye. As you know, it is normal for children to cry as their parents leave. If your child continues to cry for more than 10 minutes and cannot be consoled, our staff/volunteers will page you.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILD'S SAFETY? We strive to provide a safe and welcoming place so your kids are excited to come every week and you feel comfortable dropping them off. Our staff and childcare workers are CPR and First Aid trained. In addition, our fantastic volunteers have undergone thorough background checks and training. Our child to staff ratio is 4:1.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER MY CHILD? Help us make Kidwell Park an enjoyable and secure experience for you and your child. Parents are asked to register at the welcome desk or online and are assigned a number that helps us locate parents during worship services.

WHEN DO I PICK UP MY CHILD? After the worship service, please promptly pick up your child. Children enrolled in programs through kindergarten are required to be picked up by a parent or guardian.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR MY CHILD? For our pre-school visitors, is helpful if you pack the following in a diaper bag on Sundays: • One diaper • Pacifiers or other comfort items • Change of clothes • A bottle/sippy cup of milk, formula, juice, or water We ask that you label all personal items prior to your arrival.

CAN I CHECK ON MY CHILD? You are welcome to check on your child, but we ask that you do so discreetly, unseen by your child or other children to avoid separation anxiety.
