Kidwell Park provides age specific Sunday programs for kids aged 0 to 5th grade, at three of the morning services. It’s estimated that kids will spend about 40 hours at church during the year, and we want to make each minute of those hours count. We strive to create environments, lessons, and programs that reach kids on their level, with the ultimate aim of teaching kids of the love of Christ.
We offer a safe, fun & free supervised place for kids to hang out on Wednesday evenings while their parents attend adult discipleship classes. This is a great time for kids to grow in community with one another in a less structured environment than our Sunday morning programs. This care is offered during the W.O.W (What’s On Wednesday) terms only.
God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. These truths are taught and experienced by kindergarten and preschool age children through Bible stories, music, and small group time on Sunday mornings. children in Lower Kidwell Park hear about Jesus’ love for them through music, play time, crafts, small group application lessons and a weekly Bible story. We are excited for kids in this group to continue experiencing the Bible using the First Look curriculum from Orange which they were exposed to in Kidwell Acres. Through story time, play time and more, children memorize and internalize the foundational truths that God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
Jump right into a fun & exciting Sunday morning in Upper Kidwell Park as we play games in large group, discuss thoughts in small group, and learn more about our amazing God! Upper Kidwell consists of 1st-3rd grades, which is a wonderful range of ages, energies, and ideas. We are able to dig a little deeper into the stories of the Old and New Testament to begin to understand how each narrative applies to our lives today. Kids in Upper Kidwell Park are excited to explore the Bible using the 252 Basics curriculum from Orange which builds on the foundational truths learned in Lower Kidwell Park.
Each Sunday morning we meet in the Student Center for energetic games, thoughtful Bible teaching, peer discussions, and more. Like their younger counterparts in Upper Kidwell Park, kids in LINK 45 are using 252 Basics curriculum from Orange which builds on the foundational truths learned in Lower Kidwell Park and exploring the truths, I can trust God no matter what, I need to make the wise choice, and I need to treat others the way I want to be treated. All of these come from Luke 2:52, “And Jesus grew in wisdom, & stature, and favor with God and men”
Club Kidwell is a part of the Kidwell Park Children’s Ministry where we help children with special needs participate in the Sunday programs and activities. We are blessed to have experienced volunteers and staff who love working with kids with special needs and would be thrilled to spend a Sunday with them. This program is designed to help make church an accessible and stress free time for kids and families alike. Club Kidwell is primarily an inclusion program where our staff and volunteers can be a child’s “buddy” to hang out with in their grade specific classroom along with their peers.
