Bidwell Presbyterian Church Celebrates 150 years!

Soon after their marriage in April of 1868, John and Annie Bidwell established Chico Presbyterian Church. For the past 150 years, what is now called Bidwell Presbyterian Church (BPC) has been an integral part of Chico. Although many recognize the church’s iconic brick building in downtown Chico, the true heart of BPC rests not in its building, but in its members, who carry on the Bidwell’s legacy of loving and serving people in the Chico area and the world. In its early years, the church established ministries for Native Americans and Chinese immigrants. Today, BPC continues to partner with both local and global organizations to share the hope and truth of Christ with all people.

To celebrate this significant milestone, BPC carries on its history of inclusivity, inviting the greater Chico community to a series of free events throughout the months of August and September.
